Apparently I’ve been living in a cave, as this has been out for about a year now. It’s from Weird Al Yankovic’s “Internet Leaks” EP that was released last year.
It’s the story of Dan who, despite having a fine arts degree and dreams of pursuing a career in drama, has to deal daily with the mundane job of being a Jungle Cruise skipper at Disneyland.
Anyone who’s been on the Jungle Cruise more than once, or (gasp) has been a skipper will get a laugh out of it. Enjoy!
Al got the idea for the song while he was actually on the Jungle Cruise with his family. It’s in the setlist for his tour this summer, to my great pleasure. It works quite well in live performance.
